In order to explore the fun of painting, I started to not plan too much for my paintings. During this period, I began to pay attention to my subconscious, hoping to tap into deeper emotions. I also tried many times on painting gestures and spatial construction. The materials also increased from the previous oil paint to spray paint, oil pastels, etc.
2023-2021
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have not been able to return to China, so I have become more lonely and often look through some old photos from my teenage years. I find that those photos are very lively and immersive. It was also a special era for me, which made me very eager to re-create. So I added my own fantasy and memory to re-interpret the pictures.

2021
After moving to Tokyo in 2020, the long COVID-19 pandemic began. Everyone tried not to go out during the day, so I got used to walking around alone at night and discovered some scenery that I didn’t usually notice. Even the commonplace scenery seemed to have an unusual charm, which was very real and fascinating to me. I deliberately deleted a lot of things, hoping to capture the essence of the feeling.
